## The neighborhood Al Jaddaf (or Al Jadaf) located in western Dubai is a part of Bur Dubai, a historically rich community in the emirate located along the Dubai Creek. Literally meaning “The Rower,” the district used to be a dhow building area. The waterfront side of Al Jadaf is still dedicated to shipyards and the construction of a large dhow, which is expected to create a new world record. Strategically located between Dubai Creek and the Business Bay Extension, Al Jaddaf is well-connected to key areas including Downtown Dubai and Business Bay. Main roads and a metro line also run through the area making daily commuting easier for residents.
